Mithral is a lightweight yet durable metal requiring master craftsmanship. Armor made from mithral does not impose disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks or have a Strength requirement, even if the standard version of the armor includes the Cumbersome or Noisy properties. Mithral armor costs the base price of the armor plus 1.000 gp. Only medium or heavy armor without the Natural Materials property can be crafted from mithral.
