A common and readily available material, wood yields armor and shields that are inexpensive but less resilient. Wooden armor and shields cost one quarter the base price of the item. While wearing an armor or shield made from thin wood, you are vulnerable to fire damage. Additionally, if you suffer a critical hit while wielding a thin wood shield, the shield is shattered and permanently destroyed. Any armor category (light, medium, or heavy) or shield can be made from wood.
