Construction tools

Construction tools are used for building and repairing items primarily made of wood or stone.

• Associated Abilities: Strength, Dexterity
• Components: This kit includes hammers, a mallet, a variety of fasteners, a square, triangle, chisels, a saw, brushes, and spades.
• Special Uses:
• Fortify: You can spend 1 minute fortifying a chest, door, window, or other sealable object. This increases the object’s AC by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus or causes disadvantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made to penetrate the fortification (as determined by the GM). Multiple attempts don’t stack additional benefits.
• Build Cover: You can spend 1 hour (or during a long rest) constructing a 1 square (1.5m) by 1 square (1.5m) wall panel if you have materials. The panel grants three-quarters cover for a Medium or smaller creature. The panel has an AC of 10 + your proficiency bonus, with 15 HP (wood) or 25 HP (stone) and is immune to psychic and poison damage.
• Craft Items: Construction tools can be used to craft items using the crafting downtime activity.
• Example Tasks: Driving spikes, repurposing materials, or constructing supports.
