The sturdy dwarf people are as unshakeable as stone, forged in the earth and shaped by a powerful deity. In the early days, their cities were hewn from the living rock beneath the surface, where they found abundance of precious ore and minerals to craft the tools that would shield them from the dangers that lurked just beyond their underground gates.
Over time, dwarves expanded their presence across diverse territories, with some venturing far from their traditional strongholds. Despite this dispersal, they retained many physical attributes that had served their ancestors so well, such as eyes attuned to the dim light of underground tunnels and a resilience to toxic creatures that inhabit the subterranean realm.
