The Gith are an ancient race of humanoids who once endured centuries of enslavement under the oppressive rule of the mind flayers. After a successful rebellion led by the legendary Gith, their people gained freedom but soon split into two distinct cultures due to ideological differences: the militant Githyanki and the contemplative Githzerai. Both groups possess lean, angular physiques, yellowish skin, and a penchant for psionic abilities. Gith often stand out in any setting due to their alien appearance and intense demeanor. While some Gith venture into the Material Plane as adventurers, mercenaries, or scholars, they are a rare sight and often regarded with curiosity or suspicion.
