Aberrant dragonmarks are unpredictable and dangerous gifts, often emerging under intense emotional stress or through exposure to wild magical forces. Unlike the stable dragonmarks tied to the noble houses, aberrant dragonmarks are chaotic in nature, manifesting as vivid, unnatural patterns on the skin. They often glow, pulse, or writhe with arcane energy, their appearance reflecting the volatile power they contain. These marks are both a blessing and a curse, granting supernatural abilities while inflicting strange and often unsettling side effects on their bearers.

You have manifested an aberrant dragonmark. Determine its appearance and the flaw associated with it. You gain the following benefits:

• You learn a 1st-level spell from the arcane spell list. You can cast this spell once per day through the mark. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
• When you cast the spell through your mark, you can expend one of your Hit Dice and roll it. If you roll an even number, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the number rolled. If you roll an odd number, one random creature within 6 squares (30 feet) of you (not including you) takes force damage equal to the number rolled. If no other creatures are in range, you take the damage instead.
